Faye Barker
Faye's first broadcasting job was with EBN (now CNBC) in late-1996. She later presented for '5 News' (also carried out a reporting role there), ITV Yorkshire, the ITV News Channel. GMTV and ITV London.

Other TV projects: 'Package Holiday Undercover' (ITV 1); 'St Jimmy's' (ITV 1).

Claire Byrne
Having completed studies in journalism Claire moved straight into her chosen career in the print and radio industries; her radio work included spells with East Coast Radio and Channel 103FM in Jersey. After four years, she made the move into TV, working initially for TV Three before moving to Channel 5 and the ITN News Channel.

She returned to Ireland, in 2001, becoming a presenter with TV Three's breakfast show, 'Ireland AM'. Later Claire switched to anchoring the main news programmes on TV Three. In 2004 she was voted TV Personality Of The Year at the Irish Film and Television Awards.

Scott Chisolm
Scott was a presenter on Sky News in the 1990s. He later presented the Channel 5 breakfast programme '5 News Early' from 1997.

In 2005, Scott presented the early-morning weekday segment on the ITV News Channel.

Steve Dixon
Steve has a BA (Hons) in broadcast journalism from Nottingham Trent University. Whilst at university he worked as a presenter and journalist at various local radio stations, including Trent FM, Gem AM and RAM FM.

In 1996, Steve joined ITN, where he produced the 'ITN World News' and 'ITN Morning News'; he also presented on the 'ITN World News' for NBC Superchannel. In 1997 he joined Channel 5 News where he was a presenter, reporter and programme editor.

In 2000, Steve moved to Sky were he is now one of the main anchors in the daytime schedule. Since 2005, he has also become involved with 'Five News' (produced by Sky News).

Helen Fospero
(Formerly Helen Morton). Helen's broadcasting career began with a national news agency at the age of 18. She went on to become an editor, reporter and presenter with Sky News.

In 1997 she joined GMTV where she was showbusiness correspondent and later US correspondent. In 2002 she moved back to the UK to present the BBC regional news programme in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, 'Look North'.

Two-and-half years later, Helen returned to Sky. Helen is currently a relief presenter for Sky News and 'Five News'.

Carrie Frais
Carrie has worked as a presenter on various UK networks, including: BBC News 24, ITV News Channel, Five News, Sky News, Sky Sports.

Kate Gerbeau
(Formerly Sanderson). Kate joined the BBC in 1997 and became a presenter on 'Newsround'. She also worked on the 'Heaven And Earth Show' and 'Breakfast' during her seven years with the BBC.

In January 2005 she moved to 'Five News' as the presenter of the 11.30am programme.

Karthi Gnanasegaram
Karthi graduated with a classics degree from Cambridge University, specialising in ancient archaeology and art.

She was a freelance sports presenter for '5 News' and a reporter for the BBC's entertainment show 'Liquid News'.

Karthi is currently a reporter and presenter with 'BBC London News'. She also reports for 'Grandstand' and 'Final Score' on BBC One and various sports shows on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Jonny Gould
Jonny was a sports reporter with BSB from 1990 to 1991. From 1997 until 2001 he was a sports/news presenter at Channel 5. He then moved to ITV Sport as a football presenter; he remained in this role until 2003.

However, during 2002, Jonny was also a football narrator for Channel 4's 'Football Italia' and a football reporter for Prem Plus.

Catherine Jones
Catherine started her professional career in the newsroom of Buckinghamshire based local radio station Mix 96 in 1994. She has also worked for Independent Radio News and News Direct radio in London.

Since c. 2005, Catherine has been a presenter on 'Five News'.

Priya Kaur-Jones
Priya's first broadcasting job was as a reporter and news reader with Lincs FM. Six months later she moved to the BBC Asian Network in 2002 where she was the East Midlands reporter. She later became a regular presenter of BBC 'East Midlands Today' before moving to 'Five News' as a presenter in December 2005.

Lara Lewington
Lara started out with behind-the-scenes roles on various TV programmes including the 'Pepsi Chart Show' (Five) and 'London Tonight' (ITV),

Lara has worked across a variety of television networks: she has been involved with BBC's 'Liquid News', presented chatshow.net and produced and presented the BBCi showbiz news. She currently presents showbiz news on E! as well as being the regular weather presenter on 'Five News'.

Dan Lobb
Dan is a presenter on Sky Sports. Previously, he has worked as a presenter for Sky News and Channel 5 News.

Martin Popplewell
Martin has presented the news on Five (Early-2000s), BBC News 24 (2002 - 2003) and Sky News (2003 - present).

He also fronted the lifestyle magazine show 'Five News At Breakfast'. He has reported for ITN and worked as a political reporter for the BBC’s 'On The Record'.

Nick Powell
Nick's broadcasting life began with Pennine News and Sport. After four years there he moved to Yorkshire TV as a news reporter and presenter.

In January 1996 he joined Sky as a news producer. However, since December 1996, he has been presenting on Sky Sports News.

He's currently also a regular face on 'Five News'.

Louisa Preston
When still in her teens, Louisa's ambition to become a journalist saw her spend much of her free time in the newsrooms of local radio stations. Her first job was as a reporter with BRMB in Birmingham.

She later moved to ITN in London where she was a production journalist. She soon became a regular presenter and reporter with Five News; in fact, Louisa was one of the youngest national news presenters when Five News took her on.

By September 2005, Louisa had switched to the BBC, where she read bulletins on 'Breakfast' and presented for 'BBC London News'. Louisa has also had occasional presenting shifts on BBC News 24.

Anjali Rao
Anjali was educated in Hong Kong and at London's City University. She has a BA Hons degree in sociology and media studies.

Anjali's broadcasting career began at Hong Kong's Wharf Cable Television where she was a producer and reporter. She then worked for Channel 7 Australia's 'Today Tonight' programme before returning to Hong Kong to take up a position with Star TV. She was the principal presenter and reporter for its acclaimed current affairs programme, 'Focus Asia'.

In July 2004, she moved to the UK and became a presenter with Sky News and Five News. She presented the overnight news on Sky initially but graduated to daytime shifts within two months. By early-2005, she was also presenting 'Five News', produced by Sky News.

She joined CNN in Hong Kong in January 2006 and co-anchors the evening news and business programme, 'World News Asia'.

Barbara Serra
Barbara's broadcasting background includes a number of positions at the BBC, including a reporter/presenter/producer role with 'BBC London News', anchor of BBC Radio 5 Live's 'Euronews' and researcher on BBC Radio 4's 'Today'.

Barbara has also worked for CNN International.

C. 2003, she joined Sky News as a reporter. In 2005, Barbara became a presenter with 'Five News'.

Charlie Stayt
Charlie joined GWR in Bristol as a trainee reporter in 1985. In 1988, he moved to London to work for GLR as a reporter. He also worked for BBC Radio 5 Live, LBC and Capital FM. He switched to television in 1994, becoming a presenter on Live TV's morning show. In 1995, he was appointed entertainment editor with Independent Radio News - a role which involved reporting, producing and co-ordinating entertainment news for IRN and ITN.

In 1997, he became involved with the reporting team behind 'Five News'. In January 2001, he became one of the regular presenters on 'Five News'. Shortly after Sky News took over the production of 'Five News' in January 2005, Charlie resigned.

Since March 2005, Charlie has been operating on a freelance basis. In early-2006, he presented weekend editions of 'Breakfast' for the BBC. Later in 2006, he appeared as a news presenter on Sky News.

John Suchet
John started off with the Reuters news agency. He then moved to the BBC TV newsroom. After a short spell there he moved to ITN in 1972 as a reporter. He switched to newscasting in the mid-1980s. During his time in that role, he had been involved with virtually all of the main ITV news programmes.

He received awards for his roles both as a presenter and reporter winning Television Journalist Of The Year in 1986 and Television Newscaster of the Year in 1996.

John retired from ITN in 2004. However, in January 2006 he returned to our screens, presenting the Thursday and Friday editions of 'Five News', covering for Kirsty Young who went on maternity leave. In August 2006, John was offered a permanent role as anchor of 'Five News', working alongside Kirsty Young.

Away from news, John's has a keen interest in the life and work of Beethoven. John travels the country giving talks about the great composer and also makes regular appearances on BBC Radios 3 and 4 speaking on the subject.

John is a regular presenter on Classic FM.

Kirsty Young
Kirsty's started in broadcasting as a news reader on BBC Radio Scotland in 1989; she also presented the drivetime show. She moved to STV in 1992, where she became a regular presenter on the lunchtime and early evening editions of 'Scotland Today'. From 1994 - 1995 she hosted a live topical discussion programme for STV - 'Kirsty'.

In 1997 she moved to '5 News' where she was the anchor of the channel's main early evening news programme. In 1999 she took up a presenting role on ITN's ITV news programmes. In January 2002 she returned to '5 News'.
