Fiona Armstrong
Started her career as a reporter/presenter for Border Television in the early-1980s before becoming one of ITN's main newscasters (March 1987 until 1992). She was the first co-anchor on GMTV in 1993, and later returned to Border TV as one of the anchors of the relaunched 'Lookaround' news programme.

She also fronted a cookery series called 'Easy As Pie' for Carlton Food Network where she demonstrated her skills in the kitchen. Fiona has also featured in a series of programmes for Granada TV on 'Health And Slimming'. She also regularly chairs major conferences and award ceremonies.

Faye Barker
Faye's first broadcasting job was with EBN (now CNBC) in late-1996. She later presented for '5 News' (also carried out a reporting role there), ITV Yorkshire, the ITV News Channel. GMTV and ITV London.

Other TV projects: 'Package Holiday Undercover' (ITV 1); 'St Jimmy's' (ITV 1).

Stephanie Callister
Stephanie's broadcasting career began with BBC Northern Ireland in the mid-1980s where she presented a movie review programme, 'The Video Picture Show'. She later became a news presenter with Sky News.

By the late-1990s Stephanie was freelancing and has turned up presenting the news on GMTV and BBC News 24.

Andrew Castle
Andrew is a former Sky Sports presenter. He currently presents on GMTV.

Anne Davies
Before moving to national fame with GMTV in the 1990s, Ann Davis could be found manning the newsdesk at 'Central News' in the East Midlands.

Anne has returned to the Midlands where she can now be found co-hosting the BBC's 'East Midlands Today'.

Helen Fospero
(Formerly Helen Morton). Helen's broadcasting career began with a national news agency at the age of 18. She went on to become an editor, reporter and presenter with Sky News.

In 1997 she joined GMTV where she was showbusiness correspondent and later US correspondent. In 2002 she moved back to the UK to present the BBC regional news programme in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, 'Look North'.

Two-and-half years later, Helen returned to Sky. Helen is currently a relief presenter for Sky News and 'Five News'.

Kate Garraway
Kate started her broadcasting career as a reporter with BBC Radio Oxford before moving to ITN as a trainee journalist in 1994. She then moved to 'Central News' as a production journalist, reporter and news presenter. In 1995, Kate joined Meridian Broadcasting, and spent two years as one of the main presenters of 'Meridian Tonight'. After leaving Meridian, she has presented for BBC News 24 and Sky News. She currently is a main presenter and news reader for GMTV.

Becky Jago
Becky graduated from the University of Luton in 1997 with a BA Hons in media performance.

She started off in broadcasting at Vibe FM, eventually becoming the co-presenter on the breakfast show. Since then she has had a varied career: weather girl for Anglia TV; reporter and presenter on BBC's 'Newsround' (November 2001 - February 2003); co-presenter on the breakfast show at Capital Radio (March 2003 - December 2004); presenter and reporter for GMTV's 'Entertainment Today'; co-presenter 'The Wright Stuff' on Five; presenter, Sky Sports News.

In May 2005, Becky returned to 'Anglia News' as a presenter and reporter.

Simon Keeling
Simon's working life began with five years in a bank. In 1992, he became a full time forcaster at the Weather Department in Birmingham. Whilst there, he joined The Weather Network.

His next TV role was with GMTV as their weatherman (1997 - 1999). He gave up TV briefly to concentrate on developing his private weather companies which specialise in providing forecasts to Midlands based companies.

However, in 2001 he returned to TV and became a regular weather presenter on BBC 'Midlands Today'.

Sarah Lockett
Since her broadcasting career started in the late-1980s, Sarah has worked for many national and local TV outlets in the UK. A lot of her work is done on a freelance basis.

Career highlights include: presenter/reporter, 'BBC Newsroom South East' (1991 - 2001); anchor, 'Meridian Tonight' (1998 - 2000); news reader, GMTV (2000/2001); anchor/business presenter/reporter, Sky News (2000/2002/2003/2006); business presenter/reporter, BBC News 24 (2001 - 2003).

Andrea McLean
Andrea was a weather presenter with GMTV.

Claire Nasir
Anglia Television weather presenter from 1997, who went on to front weather forecasts nationally for GMTV.

Amanda Sergeant
Amanda is a news reporter/presenter with GMTV.

Penny Smith
Penny started her journalistic career as a reporter and features writer for the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. Four years later she left to report and present for Radio Television Hong Kong.

Back to the UK by 1984 to a reporter/presenter role at Radio Trent. That was followed by a job as press officer at Central TV.

Her next career move took her to Border Television where she became co-presenter of 'Lookaround'. After a year she moved to Thames Television to co-present 'Thames News' with Andrew Gardner. She later joined Sky News as one of the most high profile faces in the channel's launch. For four years, Penny was the main anchor on Sky News 'Sunrise' and latterly, a presenter and producer of her own series of 'Action Adventure' news specials for Sky News.

In April 1993 she took up a presenting position with GMTV; she still works with the company today.

However, since 1994 she has also fronted LWT's 'Most Wanted' and has presented their hugely successful 'Crime File', 'Crime Net', 'Crime Weekly' and 'Crime Monthly' series. She also hosted Carlton Food Network's 'Superchefs' programmes, where Britain's top chefs competed before a live audience.

Andy Steggall
Andy Steggall joined TVS in the mid-1980s as a Southampton based sports reporter and presenter, and later co-presented 'Ski Tips' with Liz Wickham.

Andy also worked for the 'Channel 4 Daily' and moved from TVS to GMTV as their sports presenter. He then moved on to Meridian in 1994. Andy now presents 'Meridian Tonight' sport, and anchors the main programme when Fred Dinenage is away. He has been a BT sports journalism award winner five times in seven years and was nominated for Royal Television Society awards in 2002 as a presenter and documentary maker.

Alastair Stewart
Alastair's TV career began in 1976 with Southern Television, where he was a presenter and reporter.

He joined ITN in 1980 as industrial correspondent and moved into newscasting in 1981. He has presented virtually every ITV news programme at some point during his career.

Alastair was a presenter and reporter with 'Channel 4 News' in its early days. From 1983 he became involved in ITN's annual budget coverage programme for ITV; he was anchoring the programme from 1988. He co-anchored ITN's 1987, 1992 and 1997 General Election programmes. In 1986 he presented the 'ITN News At 5.40' on ITV. He had progressed to 'News At Ten' by 1989.

In 1993 Alastair became a regular presenter on 'London Tonight'; he is still with the programme at present.

In 1995 he presented 'Alastair Stewart's Sunday' on BBC Radio 5 Live. He later moved to GMTV where he hosted 'Alastair Stewart's Sunday Programme'; that programme continued until July 2001.

Alastair moved back to ITV News in 2003 to present coverage of the Iraq War on the ITV News Channel. He remained a regular face on the ITV News Channel until its closure in December 2005.

Duncan Wood
Sportscaster and sports reporter for Tyne Tees Television. Also used to present the regular sporting magazine programme, 'Hold The Back Page'.

Duncan later moved to GMTV where he took up a reporter/presenter role.

By the early-2000s, Duncan had joined Yorkshire Television where he became one of the regular co-anchors on the regional news programme, 'Calendar'.
